antique Georgian/Regency solid silver cased sewing set in lovely condition and dating from around 1830-1840. Excellent quality set, consisting of a decorative solid silver wind-in tape measure with pink silk tape, a solid silver mounted thread waxer with original wax, and a solid silver pin cushion with padded velvet cushion ends. The set is presented in a small leather bound box with original hand-painted and gilt-tooled decoration on the lid, and has 3 interior compartments all lined in red velvet and silk. Original brass hook & eye catch. No added engraved monograms or initials.
Measurements The box measures approx 2.45 inches (62mm) x 1.65 inches (41mm) and is 1 inches (25mm) deep. The measuring tape is 1.25 inches (32mm) in length
