Marx 1940s vintage Coca~Cola delivery truck. This truck has delivered many a case of Coke through all sorts of road conditions. It shows its authentic wear for all the hours played with. This truck is very original it appears. No repro labels here! Every scratch and scuff and even the rear blown tire has been hard earned as it showed its quality construction under hauling heavy loads to satisfied customers many decades ago. There is honestly not a surface that has not seen wear. The bed is able to tilt, pivoting from the rear. I don't know if this was a feature or not. The tabs really don't look like they were ever rubbing inside the bed and midway of the bed on the frame is another tab that is present but there are no holes in the center of the bed for a tab. The front tabs that held it on were maybe moved to allow the bed to tilt for some reason even though the bed does not have a tail gate. Wear patterns indicate it has been like this for a long time. The tabs are still in place and are not missing. Please ask any questions about areas you may not can tell much about. I have tried to photograph every area well enough to see the condition. This truck is just shy of 20.5 inches long. The biggest offender is the rust and the blown rear tire that has split at the seam. The front tires roll some but the rear tires dont turn due to dents. Also notice the front windshield divider and the front bumper is a little bent as visible in the photos. Just for the record, I do have have a clue what the gunk is on one of the signs. The center seam on the hood also is off center and is moveable and may can be placed correctly. I have not attempted any repairs or cleaning on this truck. It's patina is all original.
