This Mercedes 196 tether car has been languishing in my neighbor’s attic since his sister gave it to him around 1967. (I am auctioning it for him.) The condition of the car is, as can be seen from the photos, excellent, however, it is quite dusty and there is an accumulation of grime that needs to be cleaned off from so many years of storage. The actual color is, I would say, burgundy. I have tried to insure accurate color in the photos but individual monitors vary so please allow for that. Overall length is 13 ½ inches. The driver is in excellent condition as is the dash, side mirrors and seat. It appears that the driver was re-painted somewhat sloppily at one time. The body is excellent, with the exception of a scrape approx. 1 ¾ inches long on the bottom near the “Cox” ID. The missing corner of the windshield measures about ¼ inch wide at the top. On the passenger side, the #3 decal is missing the top of the circle. The tires look excellent. The condition of the engine and fuel tank is unknown
