19th century, J & E Stevens Cast Iron Mechanical Bank titled, "Always Did Spise a Mule." Measuring 10” long by 6 ¼” tall and 2 ¾” wide, this Black Americana Mechanical Bank operates by placing a coin in the seat under the young black boy. When you press the lever below the donkey's back legs, the donkey kicks up and over, knocking the boy backwards and depositing the coin into the slot below him. This authentic, 19thC Bank is in excellent, original, working condition, plus the paint is guaranteed to be original and untouched with only some light surface wear.
